Keller Wins the Trash Free Lunch Challenge!!!

Congratulations Keller on winning Grades of Green's Trash Free Lunch Challenge! We joined the 7th annual competition with the goal of reducing lunch time waste and were recognized as the winners of the competition on April 11, 2018. To help implement our waste reduction program and promote environmental awareness, our Green Team put together sorting stations to be used at lunch in the cafeteria and lunch bench area, began collecting uneaten food to donate to Food Finders, started composting vegetable scraps, and began an in-class recycling program. The change on our campus has been tremendous, and it truly could not have been done without our whole community's involvement. Thank you all and congratulations!

We look forward to continuing our efforts. Green Team meets weekly on Wednesdays during lunch with Ms. Wasinger and Ms. Nunez. If you are interested in taking part in our efforts, stop by anytime. We would love to have you!
